"Shaping Children's Eating Habits"
- Breast-feed your baby. This is the best nutritional start for a child.
- Make a "nibble tray". Fill it with broccoli, carrots, egg slices, oranges, etc.
Keep it in an e`sily accessible place.
- Give children a "Brainy Breakfast".
Children's Brain Food Breakfast Recipe:
- 2 cups milk or soy beverage
- 1 Tbs.. flax oil or 2 T flaxseed meal
- 1/2 cup carrot juice
- 3 ounces Tofu
- 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt
- 1 servilg soy isolate powder
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 Tbs. peanut butter
- 1/2 cup each of your favorite fruit, frozen (organic strawberries, papaya, mango)
- A multi-vitamin/mineral supplement
- School Aid or Juice Plus Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve immediately after blending while the mixture still has a bubbly milkshake-like consistency.
- Keep kids moving. Exercise burns calories
- Teach children the "bad" words on food labels: Hydrogenated, Dyes
- Teach children the Top 12 Healthy Foods to Eat:
- Avocado
- Sweet Potatoes
- Chickpeas
- Tofu
- Eggs
- Fish
- Flax seeds & flax oil
- Tomatoes
- Kidney beans
- Whole grains
- Lentils
- Yogurt (plain, nonfat)
